About Us
Famous Fairways is a small company based in Grand Rapids Michigan, led by John E. Konya, a golf professional since 1981, and a member of the Professional Golfers Association of America since 1990. John has been the Head Golf Professional at two of America’s finer resorts. His resume’ includes management positions at nationally known facilities such as Camelback in Scottsdale, Arizona, The Pointe at Tapitio Cliffs in Phoenix, and Seaview, on the New Jersey Shore. During that time he was involved with the development of hundreds of major corporate golf events, as well as tour events for the Senior PGA Tour, the LPGA Tour and 3 Skills Challenge Events for NBC Sports. While with Marriott and Hilton, John and his team’s golf shops were consistently ranked as some of the top in the country, for their expertise in golf retail and operations. John, his wife Brooke, and their son Drew, reside in the community just outside of Grand Rapids.
